Bo On the Go, CBC, Shaw

Dear CBC:

Please provide Shaw television with title information for the program “Bo on the Go” (CBCHD). I PVR this show for my daughter, and it would be nice to provide some variety to her.

I find it keeps my daughter in a better mood if she can make some decisions. For instance “which Bo do you want to watch Creaky Crink or Blockhead?”

I will send a note to Shaw as well, in case you are providing this information, but it is not being handled properly by them.

Thanks,

Kory

Dear Shaw:

I have sent a request to the CBC to provide you with title information for the program “Bo on the Go” (CBCHD). I PVR this show for my daughter, and it would be nice to provide some variety to her.

I find it keeps my daughter in a better mood if she can make some decisions. For instance “which Bo do you want to watch Knotty Noodler or Gobsobber?”

I am sending this note to you, in case you are receiving this information, but you are not publishing it properly to the guide.

Thanks,

Kory

UPDATE:

From Shaw “The information for the Guide is provided and updated by Prevue  Entertainment.  The various networks forward their programming schedules to Prevue who then update the digital program Guide.  For various reasons, last minute changes can be made by the networks after they have submitted the program schedule to Prevue.  Prevue does require two days notice to update the Guide information in time.  However, when networks make last minute changes, there is not sufficient time to update the information on the Guide.”

I guess Prevue is the recipient of my next letter.

Vancouver Olympic Sign Bylaw Understood

bylaw, olympics, signage, signs

For the uninformed, a couple of years ago, the City of Vancouver asked the Province to modify its charter, so that it could amend the response time required to remove already illegal signage.

This was immediately decried by anti-Olympic activists and civil liberties organizations as an infringement on free speech. At the time I was suitably outraged. Here is an FAQ with the city defending its position.

If you are not in Vancouver, you may not know that the proposed changes to the bylaw have gone through a number of changes. Recently the B.C. Civil Liberties Association has been satisfied, but not pleased with the final law. (more…)

2010, david zirin, olympics, vancouver

Recently a friend sent me this article by David Zirin on Facebook. I have since become a David Zirin fan; however, being a Vancouverite, I disagreed with David’s perception of our fair town and the current mood, so I thought I better set the record straight. (more…)

As part of an anticipated bathroom reno, I found this library of AutoCad bathroom fixtures.  There are even some 3D objects.
