Mulled Wine

1 cup water
¼ tsp nutmeg
1 cinnamon stick
15 whole cloves
1 orange slice


Bring to boil, reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes. Add 1 ½ cups of red wine, something rich like malbec. Reduce to lowest heat and let flavours blend, 10 minutes is fair, but the longer the better. An alternative method is to put it all in a slow cooker for a while and serve out of that.
